POLLACK architecture designed the new offices of Naked Juice and IZZE brand natural juice drinks, both subsidiaries of PepsiCo Inc. In February of 2010, the Naked Juice team moved from a space consisting predominately of bland office space, located in an industrial area adjacent to the old Naked Juice plant in Azusa, CA. The plant moved to City of Industry, and a decision was made that the office team should move to a more central and accessible location in Monrovia, CA.
As part of PepsiCo's "Performance with Purpose" targets, a commitment was made to build the new space in a sustainable manner, with a target of LEED silver. The new Naked Juice/ IZZE workspace followed PepsiCo’s Workplace Guidelines: "all new office spaces will target LEED silver or better and will have a visible message/ Sustainability Center to educate employees and visitors about the organization’s commitment to sustainability, in the planks of Human, Environment and Talent".
For the Naked Juice office, a sustainability corner was created to showcase the organization's commitment in the three tenets of "Human, Environment and Talent". Naked Juice and IZZE brands have a solid history of creating products from materials that are grown and manufactured in an environmental manner, for example Naked Juice uses bottles that are 100% recycled and recyclable. POLLACK created a space that both embraces LEED and aligns with the spirit and philosophy of both PepsiCo and the Naked Juice and IZZE brands.
